Civic Buildings Assistant
Office Based between Lymington Town Hall and Appletree Court Lyndhurst. Outside working may be required occasionally.
37 Hours per week
Monday- Friday Shift Pattern is 7:30am-15:30pm and 11:00- 18:30
New Forest District Council is proud to be taking part in the new Kickstart Scheme. The scheme provides funding to create new job placements for 16 to 24-year olds who are on Universal Credit and at risk of long-term unemployment.

What is the role of a Civic Buildings Assistant? *
Through on the job training you will gain the necessary transferable skills and knowledge pursue a career in site security, cleaning, and an understanding of building maintenance and repair issues.

How does it work and why should you apply?
Jobs are minimum of 6 month PAID placements, but some may have more permanent potential.
You cannot apply directly with The New Forest District Council for any of these positions.
To be considered, you will need to speak with your Work Coach at Jobcentre Plus. Let them know you are interested in joining the council for your Kickstart placement and they will be able to give you the full job details and the reference number you will need to apply for your chosen position.
You will need to contact your Work Coach in the usual way, via email, phone or via your Universal Credit journal.
