Salary: £23,872 up to £26,876 + Essential Car User Allowance

We are looking for 2 dynamic, positive and forward-thinking individuals to provide effective practical support to our clients placed in temporary accommodation.
Working with ex-rough sleepers and people with complex needs you will work with them to ensure they receive the necessary support required to access services and sustain temporary accommodation.
Primarily based within 2 new dedicated Housing Units in Lymington the post holder will spend the working week with single people resident in temporary accommodation to work to a pathway toward independent accommodation, providing practical life skills, training and health and well-being support.

Since the introduction of the Council’s Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy in 2019 the Homelessness Team has seen significant transformation and improvement, with a change from generic roles to 4 specialist teams covering Triage, Prevention of homelessness, accommodation and move on and a new team of 9 Support and Outreach Workers.
2021 will see the culmination of our investment in providing 38 new, quality Council owned temporary accommodation across the district for single and family households and 6 supported housing units for rough sleepers.
The successful post holder will play a vital role in supporting the Council end rough sleeping in the district; working alongside 8 other Support Workers and 9 Homelessness Officers to support clients into and then to sustain their accommodation.
The successful post holder will need to demonstrate a history of working with people with a complex history of mental health issues, substance misuse and debt issues, delivering excellent outcomes for their clients. You will demonstrate the initiative to apply problem solving to the issues faced by clients and the skills to engage with partner agencies to get the best outcomes for your clients.
